B12 FAQs

Why choose a B12 injection over an oral supplement?

Injections offer superior absorption because they bypass the digestive system entirely, delivering B12 directly into the bloodstream. As we age, our ability to absorb nutrients through the gut decreases—making injections a more reliable option for many.

How much B12 is in each injection?

Each dose contains 1,000 mcg (1 mL/cc) of Vitamin B12.

How often should I take the injection?

Begin with one 1 mL injection per week. If your results fall short of expectations, reach out to your prescriber for guidance.

How do B12 shots support longevity?

Beyond boosting daily energy, B12 injections support brain health, vision, and cardiovascular function. They may also help lower the risk of age-related concerns like osteoporosis and macular degeneration. Plus, B12 promotes better sleep and supports healthy skin and nails—helping you feel and look your best.

Which form of B12 is used?

We use Methylcobalamin in most states. For California and New York patients, state regulations require us to provide Cyanocobalamin.

Important Safety Information & Common Side Effects

The most commonly reported side effect of B12 injections is mild irritation at the injection site. If this occurs, try adjusting the injection location or reducing frequency as needed.
